Don't see why not! Identical headlamp sizes, just different bulbs.

I have RS and looking for swap to GSR headlamp unit. We can swap if interested!

I don't get it? Why are so many people buying the RS version but then throwing all the regular EVO options into it?

You do realize that the GSR comes with a leveling system so you don't shine those super bright lights in the face of oncoming traffic?

Cause all things considered you can get an aftermarket hid kit (bulbs/ballasts) for around 400$. Its just another mod........and how much can it weigh...really

I've thought a lot about upgrading to HIDs.

Switching HID and regular lights is not a plug and play proposition on the Evo. You have to rewire it totally. How do I know? TKE413 and I both had our bumpers off and headlights out this morning finding out.

EVOTEXAS and tke,
When you tried to swap the headlights, were you using EVO OEM HIDS from another EVO? Or was the rewiring necessitated by aftermarket HIDs? Thanks for being trailblazers!

Eddie.

Yeah, no worky-worky...kinda sucks that we had to take both bumpers, underbody plastic POS's and a headlight out of each to find out that the wiring is completely different. The HID's use more wires with a bigger clip, so unless you re-wire completely and also get the relay...it can't happen. Oh well, it was worth a shot and now everybody knows.
