Does it matter?

I've only had the EVO for 2 weeks now but if the flash works out this well I might just do it here within the next couple weeks once I get some money.

If you're planning on modding sooner or later, I'd hold off on the tuning until you've got that done. Otherwise, you'll just be spending the $$$ twice...

If you plan on modding yes, the whole point of a flash is to re-adjust the a/f ratio for new mods to make more power.

I'm thinking of ways to get better gas mileage on my stock evo. Let's say I flashed my evo with no mods, would that would still help lean out the rich a/f ratio?

Getting a stock evo flashed would def lean out the a/f ratio but that wouldn't make much of a difference in gas milage, if you want better gas milage just shift at 3k without making boost.

I got the flash last weekend, my evo has almost 4000 miles and only a k&n drop in filter. I only live 15 miles from Al, but I did a $199 mail in or base flash since he has flashed literally one hundred plus of stock evos with just a panel filter. This flash is unbelievable, trust me it is well worth doing now. You are guaranteed 20 horsepower, but I can tell you it feels more like 30-40. I can also confirm this with two track based roll drag races that had an sti beat me before the flash by 1 car length to 100 mph, now I beat him by about 2 car lengths to 100, and 4-5 by 120. I am also dead even with a S4 audi with apr chip, downpipes and exhaust (making about 330 hp) up to 120 mph. Do the base flash, I love it the car pulls to the new rev limiter set at 7650 rpm in each gear (although I still shift at 7000).

Burning, go to dynoflash.com and call al's cell phone number listed there, or search the dynoflash forums. My car feels totally different now, runs like it should of from the factory.
