Which air filter would you recommend?

I like how the HKS looks and was wondering if I need to change the battery location or anything to make it fit. I think it would be nice to get a HKS filter to compliment a HKS exhaust in the future. If you have any recommendations as to why others may be better please post. Thanks

Nope the HKS fits with stock battery. takes about an hour to install (hardest part is the clamp on the turbo side). Whatever filter you get, make sure you compliment it with a reflash afterwards. All of the intakes upset the MAF readings to a degree...the HKS is one of the more extreme (along with ARC). However, once the ecu is flashed, the car really wakes up and you can get stock like MAF readings (keeps the ecu happy), and good power increases.

The most popular we offer is the HKS, followed by the Apexi filter + induction box and thn ARC.

Greddy makes a nice simple drop in (HKS might too), as does K&N

The HKS RS intake fits snugly inside the engine bay. Changing the battery location or switching to a mini battery is not neccessary to install this product, but some guys do.

I personally like the mini battery solution for one reason. My upper IC hose now sits on the corner of the battery and under boost, it torque's enough to rub on the underside of the hood, leaving a nice black smear on my white hood. Not a major problem, but enough to warrent a change.

Do a search on intakes here on EVOM. Multiple threads are out there with testimonies to several well known intakes like AEM, K&N, Injen, etc. The only negative I have heard about the HKS RS was the noise....something I like A LOT!!!!!

Hope that helps!
