Wassup guys?
I am in need of serious help here.
I am from Jakarta, Indonesia. I own a 95 Lancer GTi, that is 4G93 with CB5A and an FM22 details.
Anyhow, I use the car to go to my Office, which is 60 kms away. The road is long and all HIGHWAY. Since rules are forgotten, we, Indonesian, can drive as fast as the car can support.
Now, I feel like my TLC-Lancer need a new freshly touch on the engine. Was thinking to install a turbo, but what about supercharger? Hmmm, considering the traffic as well, off the highway is completely ::NUTS:: (heavy traffic jam); I am afraid that the turbo would overheat my engine. So, in order to increase my engine's HP, besides installing a turbo, what else can I do? Where can I get them? Which manufacturer is recommended?
Can anybody help? Please?!? Better yet, G.u.i.d.e. me!
::sigh::
Then again, I would highly appreciate for any feedback and value any of your support.
Sincerely yours,
::ISH::

As for 95 4G93 (1.8 SOHC) engine, there are not a lot of tuning shops have performance upgrades for it. One of the most mentioned is Racing Performance Works (RPW) in Australia.

So far, I have heard good things about them. The have a nice list of product for the older Lancer (Mirage in the US). See what will suit your needs.

Thanks a lot for the reply, but just to inform you that my engine is 1.8 liter - DOHC.
Well, I contacted RPW on August 2002, but David (I supposed) did not provide any help.
This kinda bring me down.
Anyhow, I highly appreciate your reply and looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Well, it all depends on your budget and what goal you're trying to achieve. If you have a SOHC 4G93, I will say going for the turbo is the way to go. However, since you have a DOHC 4G93, you might want to stay away from force induction and still have good result (you said reliability is one of your concern, right?).
You might want the intake, header (extractor), hi-flow cat, not-so-radical exhaust system (to keep you low end torque). If you want even more, you might want to get a AFC, ignition pack to play a little tunning air/fuel mixture game

Thanks again for the reply.
Well, I guess, budget is not an option here.
You are right, just today, I have decided to stay away from forced induction. But what about supercharger?
The options of modification that you were suggesting is affordable and believed to be not complicated. Can you actually recommend me the kinds of brands and types?
By the way, what about a new set of chipset? Does piggy back really worth, in this situation and condition?
Thanks a bunch again.
