Rally Red Paint fading, Mitsu might repaint...

Ok so my side mirrors are turning pink now... and as i inspect the whole car... alot of the car is fading too (not as fast as the mirrors)... So im at mitsu getting the weight label put on and i ask my service guy about it... he tells me to wash up my car good and bring it in... and the service manager will look at it..

Im pretty sure they are going to repaint it due to the fact that ive owned it from new for 5 months now...

This is at Coconut Creek Mitsubishi...

My friend, (sleet on these boards) is getting his interior and CF wing replaced too....

Wish me luck... Just a heads up for anyone who is having fading paint... they probably will do something about it because every color except black doesn't have a clear coat...

I use a product called rejex which works good. I also use mother's reflections polish.

Also, they probably wont repaint, it's too expensive. They probably will have a dealer polish your car. That is what chevy did for my truck.

Yeah, they are replacing my wing and interior trim peices. They also repainted the whole left side of my car because one of the doors faded a greyish color.

The paint does suck, but I think red will show it more than any other color. Why is sleet getting his interior replaced?

Ok just the trim pieces. I had all my trim piece replaced on the drivers side. The a pillar was replaced 2 times.

i am starting to have this same problem. i just noticed some white spots on my wing, and now that you mentioned it, my mirrors have faded differently than my car.

I have a red one and I have waxed it monthly since I bought it. My mirrors are also lighter but this is due to them being plastic and not metal. Its normal. Doesn't mean I like it, but it is normal. Unless you wax monthly, the paint doesn't have a chance of lasting very long at all.

if you check out sleets post. I think my wing is the worst yet. My car is garage keep and the dealership the car came from did the detail job. The whole car is full of swirl marks. I'm embarrased to bring my car out in the sunlight or under street lights at night because of the swirl marks. I have done the full zaino wax kit on my car. I clay bar it and everything. I'm about fed up with my dealership also. They where all cool a first. and now they want call me back. the dealership I dealt with is almost 3 hours away from me. I'm gonna have to find a closer dealership to fix my car. I guess I'm gonna head down there pretty soon and make them fix it. My car only has 3500 miles on it.

I noticed on my Weightless White EVO that the doors do not match the front fenders. I went to the dealership and noticed that it seemed to be normal, maybe the fenders are painted at a different time because they are Aluminum.
