I need an intercooler piping kit. Did you fix the problem with your car? I still can't fix mine.

I have to agree that its the CV joint. You better get it replaced or your entire right wheel could snap and fall off while making a turn. It happened to me once in a Honda Prelude.

How much is your budget?I think there is not so much different between price in US n japan. But if have good luck, u can get 2nd hand parts which is still new and cheap.
I afraid to fix my problems here because 3 times I went to dealer all of them give me 3 different reasons of my problem. And here in Japan the labour cost is veru expensive especially for a student like me.

Well I can't find pipes for my Evo 5 RS. I called some places and they say they have pipes for Evo 6s and they are not the same. I'm looking for something around $300. Its probably the CV Joint, it makes a clicking noise when u turn right?

welcome to the forum and for me it sounds like your joints are going bad or one of the arms.

Its the CV joint, just checked with an expert. You can get a CV joint for about $350, don't know how many yen that is.

When I was there last week, I cashed $140 at one of the hotels in Kyoto, and they gave me like 15,900 yen. That might help give you a ballpark figure.....

Wait, here's an exact figure from the 'Net:

Live mid-market rates as of 2004.10.22 16:58:52 GMT. 350.00 USD
United States Dollars
= 37,595.16 JPY
Japan Yen
1 USD = 107.415 JPY 1 JPY = 0.00930971 USD

usually with a clicking noise its because the the cv joint split and the axle went bad. make your money stretch by Getting it checked by a reputable, independent mechanic. instead of mitsubishi doing checking it.

Ya dude, have another mechanic check it. Cause if I took i to Mitsubishi, they would tell me everything needs to be changed even if it was a broken bolt or something.
