Hi. I am Lancer Evo 5 owner from Japan. I can get more info about evo in this site. I love to drive this car even it cost me so much on gasolins. But I have some problems at my car. There is terrible sound from right side of my front tyre when I turn to the right. Is it a normal problem always occured at Evo 5?Before this my car had adjustable suspension but I had changed to normal suspension because I heard that the cause of the problem is related to the lowered suspension. But when I changed to the normal suspension the problem still occured.Ccan anybody help me with this problem? Thank you

what kind on sound is it? is it a clunking noise? maybe it has something to do with bushings or a wheel bearing. when you changed the suspension did you have it aligned?

Hello and welcome to Evom.net.

Sounds to me a tie rod issue. (Steering) Might have bent it a bit with the stiff coilovers the car had. Also check the sway bar mounts and end links and then the last thing to check is the strut top.

I would have that checked out by a machnic because you would not want that to fail while driving.

you may have to have someone host your pictures if they are too large. Otherwise, just go to the attach file part of the reply to post section-manage attachments.

Don't know much about the Evo 5...but I did manage to learn a little Japanese in my 4 years of living in Okinawa.

あなたの滞在およびよい運を楽しみなさい -hopefully my grammer is correct...it has been awhile.

Welcome to EvoM. I just got back from vacation in Japan. 3 days in Tokyo, 3 days in Kyoto, and 3 days in the Japanese Alps. What a beautiful place! (Saw some wicked cars over there too.....Nissan Skyline Heaven)

Sorry, I can't help you out with your noise issue though......
