Is it Rice to remove the US MR emblems (Including the "MR edition" emblem) and replace with the JDM MR emblems.
The two cars are not exactly the same.

i agree with areet...its your car...do what u like to it...like for me, i'm going to use my car as an advertising vehicle for my business which will mean crazy vinyl stickers on my ride.
It doesn't really matter its your car. If it makes you happy then do it. Its not like putting evo badges on a converted lancer or mirage with a body kit. I see it more like putting a EVO VIII Euro badge to replace the American badge in the back of a American Evo VIII.

As some mayalready know.....I am all show, and when your talking about points at a car show, thos minor differnces are what can get you the win.....I think that the Engine wise, YES maybe they are pretty much the same, but how about the extras....Rear fogs in the Euro version, or Stereo contorls on the Steering for the Euro...I know we are talking JDM, but you get the point.
theres this one lady at my my job who debadged her g35 and replaced them w/skyline-fairlady emblems....and it looked cool. but again she has coilovers and gram lights 57pros wheels in bronze....Awsome!!!
Do what you want with your car. I don't think you could ever "rice" an Evo. It has the performance and heritage. Who the heck came up with this "rice" term. It's pointless. The last time I checked rice is those little grainy things you eat with most dishes. If you go to a normal person and say " that looks like rice", they will look at you and think you are on something. Unfortunately, some bad seeds probably coined the term for the rest of us. Long before the Evo and STi, WRX came to our shores, they were ruling the streets of Japan and Europe. During those times, here in the U.S. people were taking Civics, Accords and the like and putting crazy bodykits, fart cans, and wings taken off a 747, trying to mimic the Japanese lifestyle. Other people looked and laughed. So when cars like ours finally came along, the people as a whole generally had a negative view of them. Ridiculing the functional looks of the Evo and Sti, and mistaking them for the cosmetic ones of others.

YOU HIPPOCRITES =)
