For someone who will be buying, Evo or Sti?
For someone who will be buying, Evo or Sti?
I know, this thread has been done to death. But hey, $30,000, I want every possible opinion I can get.
So I've already decided im getting one of the two within the next two months. I went to took a look at the Evo MR today, seemed nice, didn't get to test drive. Haven't taken a look at the STI yet, plan to later this week.
I hear the the STI is the more comfortable of the two, and it has the quarter mile, but the Evo outhandles it. Also a lot of peopel talk about the interior. I don't know, they're both pretty sparse, and I drive a WRX now so I really don't think it will make that much difference.
I know this an evo forum, so I dont expect much support for the sti, but that's why i posted here. I also posted this on an sti forum...
So help me out guys.
Thanks. =)

If you're looking at the MR, my understanding is the ride equals the STi and obviously the handling exceeds it. Go drive both and make a decision. I had a WRX and drove both and chose the EVO. What we say doesn't really matter. You will be the one driving it every day. They are both great cars and offer unmatched performance for the $.
THe sti is a very nice car. I like the ride of the evo much better myself, but yes the STI has a little bit more "plush" if you will.
And please do NOT get CAUGHT in the NUMBERS! They are just that "NUMBERS" these two cars are so even in performance it will ALWAYS come down to driver skill..
JMHO

You should ask questions.
Not just have people tell you a bunch of junk. I did not test drive the EVO, as i read a lot about it. It drives like i perceived it to be, as when i drove the Sti it drove like i thought it would. And i guess i also like the rear armrest and wiper
