I'd rather wait than have to settle for something I dont like as much. My dealership have like 5 of the exact model/color I wanted, so I drove it off the lot the same day I test drove it.

 

question.....i don't know if i ever saw an official answer on the site.....how much of a hp increase does a windshield decal give you? i've heard anywhere from 5-7hp....

 

No way man its more like 30+... what happens is when you drive by so many people turn their heads to look at your windshield that the wind created gives you an instant speed boost, not to mention feeding your cold air intake (if you have one that is)

HAHAHAHAA!!!!! i think decals are fine if they are done tastefully!! ....colorscheme, small stuff like that.....i have a few and i stuck with the same color. BUT i too was told to wait for the car i wanted, i wanted a thunder grey OZ 5 speed, but NO, of course they didnt have ONE in all of san antonio......so i opted to save thousands and get an ES, and im glad i did, id pay thousands more for sum 15" rims and a kinda sorda body kit, which im sure ill end up replacing anyways......but i do envy the OZ gauges........

 

ya kinda like sucks cuse for me i got the oz replaced the body kit within 2 months of getting the car .......and rims i plan on replacing this spring time so they stay nice

 

I'm assuming you have snow in Federal Way. Do yourself a favor an put some decent winter tires on the stock wheels and just get summer tires for your new wheels.

 

i'm getting a thunder gray LS automatic. i don't know how to drive a stick. feel free to make fun of me now.....and of course i was joking about decals!! we all know it's ebay mod chips that make your car go faster anyway. *sheesh*

 

haha, Yeah I wanted the new red scheme with my 2003 OZ, i got it but it took them about 4 1/2 weeks to get it...slow biatches! i'm happy, I never see red lancers around...I think I seen ONE on the forums besides mine. By the way, I got a windshield banner and i noticed about a 20% increase in horsepower........ha!

 

just found out the other guy in my company who has a lancer is moving to florida. now i won't have to worry about making mine stick out in the parking lot so i don't go to the wrong car. of course i will still make it stick out......but now i won't have a reason.
