hey guys im lookin at a front strut bar on ebay does anybody know if they r reliable or not? its at a good price!

if you are looking at what i think you are, the fitment is horrible, hits the tb if i remember correctly, run a search bc it has been discussed countelss times

question (rhetorical) - why would you want something that is supposed to be strong and stiff to have bolts holding it together?

never sacrifice price over quality. PDXRalliart (member here) makes an awesome set of strut bars, PM him for info, or grab a set from RRM. I can personally atest to the quality and fitment of PDXRalliart's products

 

Those strut bars on ebay dont fit our cars and are horribly made, speaking from experience. They won't clear the throttle body and IM. They almost all say for the 02-04 lancer but its a lie. the only Lancer they will fit is the EVO and why some one would change out their stock one for that piece of crap blows my mind.

I concure with what "twardOZRally" says and either go with PDXRalliart or RRM. Once I get up enough money I'm buying a set from PDX.

 

i got a set for front and rear from ebay and it fit perfect. i know its not as good as getting a RRM one, or another brand, but i got front and rear including shipping for under $40. i haven't had any problems with it. i think its up to you. if you have the money, go for the good ones, but if you're looking to save some money,those aren't too bad.

 

The one I got fits, but it keeps hitting the intake and makign a grating sound, can't get it to stop, so I took it off. Go with something better from one of the known suppliers.

 

All I have to say is look at the pics above and you tell me what you think is better. I hope by looking at the pics you get the idea and can make the right choice.

 

dont buy it. read my thread below for reasons why. its a few pages, but .... you will be happy you dont buy this. even for 9 bucks + 15 for shipping .. its NOT worth it. Read this thread for a good reason why NOT to buy this.

I just ordered the RD-Designs front k-bar and rear tie-bar. Look at PDX's stuff! It's really good quality for a good price and everyone on that thread has only said good things about his stuff.

 

^ very true. my buddy ordered one off of ebay. it did not fit, period. man was he pissed. no return policy. i picked up a set from pdxralliart, great product! he saw mine, and now he wants to do the same.

 

what about the rear upper and the lower tie bars
