New to the board
Hello All,
I'm new here and just wanted to extend a greeting to everyone. I'm from Arlington Heights, IL, and I just drove my new graphite grey MR home from Orlando, FL this weekend. It was a long way to go for a car, but this one was definitely worth it. It seems like if I'm willing to spend a whole weekend driving my car home, then this board is the right place for me.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I didn't even know AMS was here until I started looking around the boards. I'm actually only a block off of Oakton, so I could walk right over there. Of course, with my new car, walking seems like a waste.
As for why I bought my MR in Florida, I had been talking to a local dealer, and they said they could get me one. Unfortunately they said they would have to go quite a bit above sticker to get it. So I talked to the wife, got my dollars in order, and was getting ready to buy. Then my dad came though town, and we went to look at the standard Evos. He remembered that a friend of his had recently purchased a Mitsu dealership, so he was going to call and just ask about the car. Make sure they weren't seeing problems with them and such. Well, I was about two hours away from buying an MR from the dealer here, and my dad leaves me a message. His friend had gotten a pair of MRs in just 15 minutes before he called. One apex silver. One graphite grey. He also said he had the graphite one for me at sticker if I wanted it. So, about ten minutes later, I had a car and a plane ticket to Orlando.
The MR is just awesome. It's suprisng how comfortable it is over the road for such a raw, fire breathing beast. I hope I can keep the power and modification bug at bay for a little while. I'm still just trying to find some twisting roads to play with.
