installing strut bar..

sorry, i searched for this and no one said anything about how to install the strut bar, so im asking. How do u install the strut bar? I haven't gotten it yet, but i want a little heads up or somethin..is there anything special for installing? Im planning to get the single tube RRM strut bar. All i see are the two bolts i have to loosen..and then do i just place the strut bar there and screw the bolts back on? i know ill have the car jacked up a bit cause it'll be easier to install that way...but is there really anything else i have to do? sorry for being a newb!

Place strut bar over the two bolts and tighten the nuts. Jacking car up not needed. Simple huh

There are posts about this- but a couple mention using a hammer to bash the bar into place. Um, don't do this. It's bad.
I just jacked up the front. I may not have needed to but it only took a minute to do.

the washer lines gets pinched...
it is necessary to relocate them...
...the instructions did not help me at all..
i just played around with it...and i got it to work..

* i jacked up the front and step on the tire and the mounting points will go down...hence you can fit the tower bar...
no bangin needed

Might just need to loosen all 3 bolt on each side. That should allow for a little movement. If that don't do it Call us.

!!!! I hope you mean inch lbs! 60-80 lbs would rip the threads right off that sucker!
Just tighten them enough with a regular ratchet/wrench til you feel it's enough. Just make sure you do not use all your might to tighten it. Remember "Just enough" not too tight, not too loose.

UPS just dropped off my red RRM single tube strut bar today. Putting it on tomorrow. Next comes the rear strut bar followed by the lower tiebar.

After that... maybe the ROAD/RACE Race Series Braided Steel Brake Lines if they're easy to install a good upgrade.

What's the best way to loosen the bolts? I tried with a 14mm wrench but couldn't get them off to put on the strut bar.
