hey......i am having a little problem......i am looking to buy a new coldair intake.....but my problem is i do not know if i should go with the more expensive AEM or just some cheap one off ebay....my friends say go with the cheap one.....but im not so sure.....please get back to me on what would be the better choice

 

don't know what's a better choice...but one thing's for sure....NEVER go cheap on your car...spend the $$ and do it right for the first time...

get the one from ebay it works pretty much as the aem.

 

i would be careful with the cold-air depending on your location. i know a guy with a RSX-s and he has one in super rainy Seaside oregon, and the other day he drove through a puddle and flooded everything. it was towed back to his apartment, and we had to change everything. took out the spark plugs and tried to fire it, and water shot out of the block. changed the oil probably 4-5 times. anyway if you live where it rains a lot, or do a lot of driving be careful. good luck.

 

sometimes its just best to use the stock intake. some intakes wont give u HP gains. in my rx8, my intake didnt give me anything but bling bling under the hood. it also made my exhaust louder too!
