Oh yeah, why would I talk smack on the car I have and love? That doesnt make too much sense.
PS- all my forum names are different so I can only thing youre referring to a soon2bevo on another forum.

Put 6-7000 into the EVO and its all EVO! I dont really consider my opinion too biased because when I was first debating which cars to get it was really between the EVO and the 350Z. THe main thing I didnt like about it is that its really hard to mod unless you hav 6-7grand sitting around, which is less than I will put into my EVO over 3 years so.. that helped my decision.
About all you can say for the Z is that it is a good looking car. So what.
There's something I've decided I will bring up on every one of these threads that I read... I believe the last one was "EVO or M3 or Z06?"...
The thing I would have to think about is INSURANCE - I don't know about the M3, but insuring a Vette is INSANE... The 350Z, as a two-seater with the "sports car" label isn't cheap, either... whereas when I traded my 4 cyl Tacoma in on my EVO, my insurance went up exactly ten bucks a month.
I thought Geico had it wrong, and were quoting me for a n/a lancer... but I guess the AWD 4 door sedan thing gets you out of the "premium" range.
I like driving the EVO more than I did my Z (touring model)... but I also want to add to what several guys have already said - the chicks (with the occasional car-chick exception) will be digging on the Z much more than the EVO.
And all the other good points everyone made - EVO's cheaper to make a lot faster, more practical, AWD, etc...

if u ask people in this forum.. most of them will just say that evo is better... its just personal preference man.. just like picking evo over sti... worn out topic..
i drive a Z and an Evo.. actally its my bro's Z... all i can say is that evo is more practical.. its a sedan.. with a lot of room... and its fast.. hehehe
the z... it handles better... thats what i think.. and looks a lot better...
someone said that Z is having a hard time going into 12's(you need forced induction?) not really... according to my bro.. two of his Z friends run 12s on track... one has nos setup.. and the other has exhuast, intake, pulley.. im not sure what else (but no NOS). i guess it just depends on the driver....
if i were you just drive both... i have driven both and I love my evo... sometimes i do want to drive the Z though(more attention) =)
both cars are great... you cant really say one is better than the other...

I'ld take the Z over the Evo. Then again, I bought the Z instead of the Evo.
A lot just depends on what you want in a car.
For the record, with my OZ, insurance was 130 a month (this having having a multi-line discount). The 350Z (w/o the discount) is only running me 145 a month. I'm 23 (22 when I bought the Z) and have a perfect record.

Considering your age and the car, that's not too bad - but I'm over 25 and with a clean record, and I'd **** up my back if I had to pay almost 1800 a year for insurance.
I will definitely concede your point, though - the Z is no corvette - to drive, look at, or insure.
