1g bov on evo?

Does anybody know if you can use a 1g bov on an Evo 8. If so, who makes the adapter plate? Haas anybody had good/bad experiences with the 1g bov?

I've heard good things about the 1g bov on an EVO but I think it has to be crushed in order to hold more boost...

It holds rock solid 21 lbs just fine. We put one in my buddies evo as well and it works awesome.

Thanks. I have one from my 92 talon and I figured I'd use that instead of buying one for $200. You guys rule!!!!!!!!!!!

I run 1g Talon bov's on two of my cars (both Chryco turbocars) and I can tell you they are great. I don't know about crushing them, but they will lift around 21-23# or so depending on how strong a spring you have.
This is in part due to the boost signal that gets sent to not only the bottom of the valve disc, but also the diaphragm to help it open quickly at the first indication of throttle let-off. There is an easy mod to plug the boost signal hole, and then use an external line, which can be vented when you want to run high boost.

Using this mod and not crushing the can, the valve will hold in excess of 28.5psi.

It sure beats dropping all that cash for an aftermarket one.
