No it was not, we were a bit addled when we added the XEDE and did not dyno it before ..... However, it did put down 242 whp on the DD dyno after that. Later I installed the cat back exhaust and Shiv tuned it again and it put down 257 whp on the DD dyno.... The MRs tend to put down 220-225 whp stock on a DD dyno.... That's 10~30 whp more than the '03 EVO VIIIs would put down on the DD dyno.... I'd guess my car stock would put down in the 223-225 whp range....

 

I have a couple questions, what are HID's and why would they take that and the int spray out on the 05's? What would be the point in that?

Also does the MR come with those two things? Also does it have the 10.5 hotside and all the other good things of the 05 on it too?

 

Those are the Halogen lights and they are quite superior in light output to the standard lights. The MR has HID lights, but no spray. They removed the spray for lack of space. They removed the HID from the standard EVO and the RS for cost reasons. The 10.5 hotside is common to all '05 EVOs.

 

What does the Int spray do? Can you buy it as an aftermarket?

 

It's supposed to help to cool the charge evn more by cooling the I/C..... I guess you could rig up something, but it's probably not too easy since there is no space for the water container/pump under the hood...

 

How did they lose space from the 04, to the 05?
