my friend has a built b16 type R internals and he is dropping it into a hatch.. older im guessing about 97. its really lite.. so lite u dont want to sit in it. u feel like ur in a row boat. he wants to get a custom turbo pushing 3 lbs of boost...... and i was wondering would stock evo comp it? if not what mods would it need

A built b16 can handle more then 3lbs boost, more like 12lbs. Hmmmmmm.... Type R internals in a b16 with forced induction, in a civic hatch??????? Umm.. Yeah, stock EVO won't have a chance.

I can see this civic to be around 280-300whp easy with 6lbs boost.

Tell him not to waste his time if he only wants to push 3lbs only.

If it is built with ITR pistons and rods, I wouldn't run 12 psi on it. More like 8 psi. Running 3psi on that car would be retarded and a waste of money. I have a buddy running 12psi on his stock B16 (not sure how long its gonna last) and he is also running Hondata with it.

Either way...a turbo Civic even running 3psi the EVO has no chance. Power to weight is your buddies freind.

I originally meant to say fully built b16, I would run 12lbs boost. On type R internal, 8lbs would be max boost.

Anything equivalent to Bushur stage 2. Cams should walk it. That's if the civic is according to what your saying.
