Question how do i wire in a tachometer

hey guys,
im only new infact this is my first post. what i really need to know is how to wire in a tacho to my 1990 lancer. i got the tacho of a mate and he doesnt know either.
there are 5 wires, 2x black, 1 red, 1 orange, 1 green. also i strongly would like to put in a imobilizer switch.
if anyone can help or can tell me where to go to find out how to do these things it would be great.
thanx.

does that car use a distributor or coil packs? i know for a distributor you have to hook one up to that. then one for constant power (probably red), ground (probably black), then hook one up for illumination (hook into cig lighter or something).

i dunno why theres 2 blacks, but 1 is ground. did it come with instructions?

i recon it woulda had instructions originally but i dont know where they would be now. i guess it would be rare, considering almost all cars on here are newer and porformance. i couldnt aford anything more but i definatly wanted a lancer. its still stock but i do intend on changing that, ive got thw money just dont know where to start.
ive tired fiddling with the wiring but got noware. im considering paying a pro to do it if i havto

ok i got the tacho in. it had a electic ignition and i had to connect it to a wire that came out of the distributer.
the two blacks were for negative
the red was power
the green went to the wires on the distributer
the orange was for the light, usually to be attached to head lights but i went straight to power to make it easyier. its constantly on now.
