finally got my new summer daily driver :D
well, with gas prices the way they are and the estimate of going north of 3 bucks a gallon, i talked myself into purchasing a bike
its a 2005 kawasaki ninja 250r... i know i know, nothing special about it at all. see, the thing is, ive never rode before... EVER. so i thought this would be a great beginers bike, and it has turned out to be
ive put 15 miles on her, and i LOVE IT. i thought it would be difficult, but i honestly find riding the bike just a little easier (in terms of 1st times) then driving a manual car. anywayz, just wanted to share my joy with people, and also wonder if anyone else rides here?
the evo is gonna basically sit this summer for a while, unless i need to pick up my girl, then i gotta drive the evo, cause she wont get on the back of the bike yet, lol
ill have pics up asap, its dark here now, so as soon as i get it ill post em

I have been riding my bike a lot also to save gas plus I like riding it. It is a 96 Honda Magna 750. I like it. I have been able to ride dirt bikes before I was even able to ride a pedal bicycle. Best advice I can give is to be watch other drivers really close. Like someone waiting to pull out from a side road. Once I had a rig not see me I had to lock my brakes up and slide into the gravel at the side of the road to keep from hitting him. I avg around 40 mpg so it does really save on gas.
i had my car for about 4 days, i rode my bike again because she was getting jelous and it just felt weird, dont know if it was cos i was sleppy still or what. btw you should take a msf course its offered everywhere and a good option to know about all the hazards. just stay alert and anticipate what people are going to do and you should do fine. if you got problems or questions let me know i got a 500 and could help you out. glad to hear you started right, great bike to throw around the turns, very easy to manuver
