think this thing works?
That's a very good point Street, I know where you were going with it. I was kinda thinking that to, that the filter would have the greatest suction on the side closest to the tubing, and I'd think that section of the filter would get dirty QUICK. And the surface area wouldn't compare to a cone filter, not to mention I have NO idea where I could get a replacement, or how much it would set me back. Guess I'm going with AEM once I get the money. I can be happy with that.
Surface area alone is not a problem but the rather large amount of piping that always gets me about these systems. The reason why intercoolers are able to get the trick done being mounted up front is that with forced induction your moving SIGNIFICANTLY more air through your pipes and you can deal with a drop in vacuum a bit. Wit this though, you have less than probabaly a square foot of induction area. A pod filter fully stretched and laid out will have a couple at least.
Yeah..... what he said!
Seriously, my point wasn't that it was a major problem, it was that it's just one more thing that shows the inefficiency of the design. Thanks for picking up the fumble purecoda. I got about halfway through it and was like going "I'm not saying what the hell I meant to."
