Just bought new EVO RS

Hello,
Just got my EVO RS RED....Paid $800 under MSRP(is that a good deal?)

Car is great...now I know why people love EVO's....super performance cars.

Any thoughts on how to break the car in?

Thanks

Read the owner's manual. If you are following the David Buschur method of "breaking in" a car (he basically means breaking it in as if it were a woman ) then discard the owner's manual and drive how you want to drive (too fast).

I heard about that. Correct me if I am wrong, but is it where you drive the car very agressively for the first 40 or 50 miles, so the piston's + ring lands seat correctly to prevent oil consumption down the road?

Supposedly that is the case. What I have heard, however, is that not following factory break-in promotes oil consumption down the road. I don't know this for sure, but I always thought the ran the engines at readline for a few minutes before they sent them out of the factory. Another way of breaking in the car is following standard break-in for a bit, but doing a few hard pulls up to 4k, and then after some more miles, up to 5k.
