Im going to be getting an evo probably by the end of next month. I have a Lancer OZ right now and I love the black on it, but man does it get dirty quick. Also I live in Arizona so there is dust in the air, within 2 days of washing it my car is covered in dust again. I was just wondring for your experience which colors would show the dirt the least or require the least amount of work. Im thinking of either silver, yellow, or red. Thx!

Silver definately doesn't show dirt as bad as the other colors the Evo is available in. However to me it doesn't look that different if it's clean. Me being a neat freak I like my car black so you can see its clean .

Blue looks great when clean & not bad when its dirty (usually 1-2 weeks after last wash, depending on weather). The problem with cars that don't show dirt (e.g.: white) is that they don't show clean either: after a morning of washing & rubbing they don't look all that different.

White is actually very easy to keep clean. I had a black z06 and man was that hard work. Between scratches and dirt it almost drove me crazy. My white evo a lot easier to keep clean. And i would also reccomend a duster, i used to live in AZ and those are really helpful!

I live in a very dusty farmland area in central Cali. I have a black Evo and love the color. I don't have to wash it very often (maybe twice a month) because I use one of those California Dusters to lightly dust off my car. I do that once a day, first thing in the morning, before I drive. It works and the car looks great. I always get asked how do I keep my car so clean. Black has to look clean to look good!

Too much washing will increase the swirl marks you get. Too much waxing will cause swirl marks and wax build-up (especially in black). Every time you wash or wax, you're scratching the clear coat, hence swirl marks.

I dont know about 2 days for you, my car is dirty about an hour after I wash it. Id say blue/red/ or silver, stay away from black and white, im not sure about yellow.

silver's definitely the easiest color to keep clean. I've noticed that metallic Blues are almost as bad as black to keep clean.

Silver doesn't really show dirt, it just turns to a dull matte after awhile w/o a bath.

I got a silver evo just for that reason. I can't remember the last time she had a bath...

sad, isn't it?
