Younger EVO owners- where did you find insurance

Where did you find the cheapest insurance?

I have 1 ticket 10mph over limit, and 1 accident (not at fault), and on esurance mine 6 months was estimate at $2,400!!!! Thats not even that great of options picked either.

I am very close to being able to afford an EVO RS, but if insurance is going to be $400/mo i definitely can not.

Mine just went down when i turned 19, $1200 every 6 months. Private broker here in town, the name slips my mind.

You probably want a quick fix, but my advice is join AAA as soon as possible. Try to get motor club insurance through them. If you are not eligible, keep an AAA membership anyway. It will pay off in time. The rates through AAA are the cheapest I've found.

Man, I used to pay 350 per month on my RSX Type S... it was insane. Had to do it for 3 full years too. I could've been driving a 911 for the combined car note and insurance bill.

It didn't drop until I got married and turned 25.

When it did... I couldn't believe the savings.

AAA $1500 a year, my local guy said that they did not distinguish the EVO form a regular Lancer. Hey wrote me a custom policy based on what I told him the differences are and doubly noted the VIN, ans was still the same price.

Im was qouted 1500 a year by AAA for a 2003 Evo.
I ended up buying new, a 2005, and it went up, I think I pay 2700 for a year.

I was livid, I have a copy of the qoute for 1500, why on earth did it effectively double because the car is 2 years newer?

By the way these rates are for a 20 y/o male, single, in So. Cal with 500 deductibles.
