EGT + Oil Pressure. These are the two most important besides Boost.

Will your 05 have the factory gauge cluster?

If not, then I suggest Boost, Oil Pressure, and Oil Temp. EGT is not important unless you're doing some serious tuning. I have no idea what half these people even do with their EGT gauge other than show it off on the a-pillar. Oil temp allows you to know how hot your oil is in a given situation, which is very useful if you do any racing, or if you drive in hot weather. I use my oil temp gauge to track my temps after auto-x and drag runs. If they get high (~90-100C), I go drive 45mph 6th gear with no boosting until they drop back to normal (~70C). Oil pressure could save you from a catastrophe.

Are you serious? EGT is very important as it can indicate if you are running rich/lean. Its an easy way to tell if you are about to blow up or not, which is why some of us call it the "OH ****" gauge. Calling it something that is used to "show off" is completely ignorant.

It is a good idea to know if your engine is going to blow or not, you don't need mods for an EGT gauge to be effective.

You DON'T need a volt gauge. That is one of the few gauges that are pretty useless.

Useful:

Boost
Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
Fuel Pressure
Water Temp
EGT
A/F or Wideband

Useless:

Volt
Clock (Yes, this exists)

Jesus Christ, man. I am just clarifying what gauges are USEFUL and which are NOT. I didn't hold a gun to your head and say "HEY l2EDLINE BUY THESE GAUGES OR I AM GOING TO SCATTER YOUR HEAD ON MY DAMNED FLOOR".
