Average Price for MR's
start first at $500 below invoice then don't settle for anything more than invoice....tell them u really are waiting for the 9 but if they'll give u this MR at those price then u'll take it...
Larry, my Passat is more modded then your car will ever be. Want to help buy my parts so I can finish parting out? HAHAH
Markeddy - Thanks for the offer, and honestly I've dealt enough with a modded car and I would really like to keep the MR as unmodded as possible. Simple mods like exhaust, reflash, etc are much more cost effective to me then doing the whole thing that I did with the Passat. I will PM you anyway just so I can get an idea of things. Never know, things may not work out with getting a brand new car off the lot.
BTW, Im at witts end with the Passat. Power steering is going out on me now, and the AC doesnt like to blow cold anymore, control arms are going, and theres a slew of other things. Time to toss this bad boy before Im stuck with it for life.

Amazingly enough, I spent most of the afternoon down at my Mitsu dealership with a buddy while he bought the car I wanted. Thankfully, there are a few other MR's available around the local 4 hour area, so there is still hope in getting the one I want.
With that said, I got the a-ok to go ahead and sell the Passat. Hopefully someone will come along locally and pick it up. $12,500, well over $10k invested in the car as far as labor and parts are concerned. Hopefully within the next month I will have a part time job, and have the car sold so I can move on up into an Evo.

Well, finally some more progress on the purchase of my Evo.
Ive go ahead and gotten my quote for insurance. Sounds like its going to double. I expected that to happen being 21 and having a high HP sport compact compared to a 4 door family sedan.
Ive gotten in contact with a few dealers here in S Carolina about purchasing an Evo MR, Wicked White. I contacted my sales man after hours, so have to get a hold of him tomorrow afternoon on my lunch break. Soon, soon I will have an Evo of my own.
