Wow, I didn't know White Castle paid so well. Enough to buy a $30,000 car, modify it, pay for insurance on it and pay for rent and food. LOL. Again, this is why I wouldn't drive one of these cars. It's been tainted. What a shame.

I dont think i would've bought my evo if i was making less than 40k, there'd be too much sacrifices to make and i rather live comfortably and not worry about making enough each month to pay my bills. Props to you guys who make a lot of sacrifices.

I half agree with you on the fact that its been tainted, around where I live I would say no worse then an M3, Cobra, or even Corvettes. I'm 20 and make around 15K per year, the car gets paid for mostly through "creative" financing through my college loans. I do agree for the most part it is impossible for someone my age to have this car without any help, or living on their own but for the most part both are improbabilties at my age regardless of whether you drive an EVO or a pinto, especially if you're still in college like I am.

I would say a lot of it relates to middle class suburbanites trying to keep up with the Joneses. I have friends who all have new cars, one has a z06, another has a nicely worked WRX, GTI 337. My financial situation is easily the most dire compared to theirs, I do not have a safety net where I can wreck the car without feeling the ripple effects (which I'm experiencing now after getting t-boned by a kid in a scion TC who made an illegal left across three lanes to find me).

On the same note we only compare ourselves and what we have to those around us, and personally working full time over the summer and every free hour during school I see no reason why they should have something I can't. I'd go as far as to say its a strengthening factor for people my age, people seem to have more money now then they ever did, and yes some people my age don't work as hard as others, but as its always been within the middle class ranks everyone works and kills themselves to attain what they feel they deserve as much as anyone else does. For me and id assume others its almost a matter of pride.

I don't live at my parents but if someone else does and owns an evo then they are making some serious sacrifices. If they also have nappy hair and eat at Pizza Hut then I guess thats what makes them a Jew, I don't know, I'm not an analyst.

Hehe I was just messing around. I am sure there are many members of this forum who make SERIOUS sacrifaces to drive lan evo's and I respect that.

I have worked at my dads business since 13 and have slowly been working my way up.

Everything in the tri-state area recently has been so expensive its kinda scary and it really needs to stop.

Just remember that nothing is free. The free medical and dental you and your wife enjoy are paid for by me and everyone on Evom who works to pay taxes.

Please save me from the "freedom I have is not free" military intelligence speech. Thanks. Not to start a flame. I support the people who are in the military serving us.

boy it sounds like you have some race issues.. he was making a general statement, but you are directly making racial comments to him.. not cool man.. its a free country to to say what you want but not free to personally attack someone..
