It's sad ... He would need 550 whp just to hang with an R6. A stock evo? PUUHHLEAASSE! A stock evo won't even hang with an ls1 from any type of a roll...

and you are also a liar ..

If the R6 was actually racing then he would have pulled on you like it was his job to do so...

Come on now... I love my Evo and all.. but sometimes the whole "THE EVO CAN NEVARRRR LOSE ATTITUDE" can go a little too extreme!!!

i drove both cars initially (STi and evo). The straight line acceleration felt comparable. However, the EVO felt tighter around the turns.

Without driving one yet I am really just looking for some indication of what it feels like when you accelerate. Keep in mind I am coming from an Sti so it would be cool to hear from someone who has driven both as well
why would you sell a sti for a evo...? you just lost a ton of money trading cars.

Or maybe he just wasn't satisfied? Possibly he just knows where more potential lies?

The guy probably doesn't know what an R6 is. He probably thinks it is an Audi or something.

[QUOTE=housedj] also the evo's power delivery is more linear than the sti, [QUOTE]

Completely absurd, the STi has AVCS, smaller quicker spooling turbo, and a 2.5L. Every STi and EVO owner knows that the STi has a more linear progression. It is not that one is better than the other, I test drove an 05 evo the other day and was shocked. I just hate it when false info is given out.

Yeah, A6 or RS6.. right? Anyway, if you didn't lose too much money, good choice... if you did, then you're an idiot... the Evo isn't THAT much better than the STi... with a bit of work, the STi is just as corner hungry as the Evo... now yes, I have an Evo, I've driven both, and a WRX... and you know why I picked the Evo? Looks, period. The STi just doesn't look mean enough to me, plus, with COBB ten minutes away, there's a billion STis and WRXs here already and I wanted something a lot of people didn't have.
