Will I be happy with the power......?

...........of the evo if it is stock. mostly likely it will be an 03/04. The reason I ask is because I have never driven one and I am buying one for sure. I am well aware of the performance capablilities and I know I will be satisfied so maybe" happy" wasnt exacatly the right word. Without driving one yet I am really just looking for some indication of what it feels like when you accelerate. Keep in mind I am coming from an Sti so it would be cool to hear from someone who has driven both as well

I do and yes it is good power. Its not the only reason I bought the 6 and it certainly isnt the only reason I am buying the Evo. I do enjoy the feel of a powerful takeoff though

The STI feels better stock, i think, more low end. Go out and get exaust and a reflash, then you'll LOVE the evo.

The power delivery is more intoxicating in an evo... you can feel the rush of the turbo more.

Thats cool then because the sti was so powerful in a linear fashion that you almost dont feel the turbo in the lower gears.

here's a little food for thought- a stock evo will beat an R6 all day long from an 80mph roll. how do i know this? i've done it. also the evo's power delivery is more linear than the sti, the spoiler doesn't flap at 70, & is more stable at high speed. i've done 165 in my '03 & can tell you there is no nervous feeling at all. what r u waiting for? go get that 4 door bike...

exactly, you will feel the turbo hit with the evo. Get some mods once it feels slow, that's what I do and it usually coincides with finding some cash to feed my addiction

Im sorry but there is no way a stock EVO will take out a R6 from a roll. The R6 will rape the EVO hands down. They guy drivng the R6 must of not been a good rider.

There is never a point where you will be satisfied with power unless you are in a rocket sled and reach blackout. You can mod an Evo until you go broke. Get one.
