Now what an arguement. Seriously, do you guys get confused when someone refers to their car as a GSR? You know what they are talking about. If someone says "I own an Evo 8" then you usually ask them what trim level they have. If they say " I've got an Evo 8 GSR" then it answers that question.

It makes sense. Call it the GSR. Who cares. Are people going to get jealous? Are you being blasphemous (sp)? Just let it go and stop trying to pick this thing apart.

All USDM EVO'S ARE GSR'S. Saw it on the Computer manual at the dealership.

 

Regardless or not our Lancer Evolution VIII is still a GSR type model, just like there is an MR, and RS. We cant just be called EVO VIII because every model is an EVO VIII but even if it doesnt say we have a GSR it doesnt mean we dont have one. I still consider my model a GSR..

Just go to the dealership, and ask them. The guy that works at the dealership by me lives 4or 5 blocks down. When he was working on my car I was in the service bay with him. He had the manual on the computer and it was tittled evolution GSR.
