Whats up every one, just wanted to ask a few question. Well Im In Iraq right now and was thinking about geting a Evo when I get back. I saved up some cash and with all the road rage from patroling I nedd a fast car

Well my question are
Ive been checking out evo's on auto trader, and for 2003 there going any where from 27-30k with under 30k miles is that about right? Our should I buy a new one the reason Why I wanted used was spend about 4k less and put that into mods. Our would it be smarter to wait until 2007 because i wont be home until feb 06, but I heard some thing on the world engine and I dont know about that.
last question about how much money will it take me to get into the high 11 with going the most safest way.

most of your answers can be found by searching. You can get an 03 way cheaper than that....especially when you get home in 06

 

I got my brand new 05 for 28.6 two weeks ago. Maybe the Evo IX will be out by the time you get back, but if you plan on doing a lot of mods you're probably better off with a used one because the warranty won't be of much use to you after you start tuning. My only suggestion for the used market would be to find one that has been kept stock by the owner.

Actually, I would buy a new one and drive it for a while then mod it. Mine has 2.5K on it and I just ordered a downpipe and brake lines. I've had the car since the Dec and still don't "really" know how to "drive" it. Plus, I think that I got one of those whose HP is on the high side of the HP rating. Just a gut feeling that's all.

Secondly for a used 03 right now for a decent deal you can expect to be in the low 20's. This is the route I awas planning on going but I may now wait and opt for an 05. I am hoping $25ish for a gsr no ssl in a few months

You can get a new one for not much more than what they're asking.

I love my 05, the new Evo IX will be interesting as well.

Either way you should pick one up when you get home.
