1.8T GTI vs STI vs EVO

my brother GTI.

so my brother wanted to hook up his 1.8T before going back to Iraq and he did and this thing went flying like a roket. he got intake, APR chip, exhaust and some small other things. we dynoed the car and it dileverd 205 Whp and 210 wtq and we went racing that night with my EVO his GTI and my frined STI. This thing was ***kkkin fast he was like a car or maybe 1.5 behind me he was right next to the STI and he did infact pass him in low speed. when i drove it and my brther drove my EVO i kicked every once *** until 90 miles. i love GTi's easy to hook and cheap as well.

My G/F has a GTI with a chip ($300) and a cat-back ($500??) and it does take off. I think the big advantage the GTI's have is their small turbo. It spools up instantly while the evo takes a moment or two. She always gets a jump on me when we take off from a roll.

yup, but his turbo was boosting up to 17 psi on every gear and it did spike up to 21 when it was cold on 3rd gear. i asked the APR people and they said no problem this engine handles up to 24- 25 psi no problems and i was like ****. In the end his turbo will die sooner i guess.

17psi has to be maxing out that little turbo. Ours is running around 16psi with a nuespeed chip.

APR has highr psi rate than nuespeed as well as hp gains too. it boost up to 17 and could spike up to 20 depanding on the weather. I was happy to the sti getting spanked from a gti you have to see my friend's face he was like no no no it was not fair. i am like shuut the fu ck up man.
