you are simply contributing to the problem. him searching has already been discussed. your reply was superfluous as was mine (nice chain reaction you started)
anyone out there have an evo vii front bumper on their evo viii? I think the vii looks better.
I definitely agree. I can see the Evo 8 front end being more aerodynamic but it is often mistaken for an early 2000's Pontiac Sun Fire or Firebird. The hood on both those models kind of ruins aerodynamics because it creates a ton of turbulence so ideally a GTA hood or regular lancer hood would be ideal and also attract much less negative attention. I if I had a 8 and not a 7 I would not put on a 7 front end as I even want my 7 to look like a 6 XD.
I know quite a few Evo 7s have had the full Evo 8 conversion. So it's definitely possible.

uhm no way..because of the pyramid nose? dozens of cars have that design. show me a firebird or sunfire with a massive intercooler not to mention the size of the ducts are like 4 times bigger and just much more aggressive lines/aerodynamic. Not defending it or anything i have an evo 9 with voltex setup. Just had to say it i hear that comparison too many times and its frustrating lol
to the op, everyone's got their own taste but 8/9 bumpers are much more desired since its more functional/updated look, obviously this reflects in price difference. evo 7 bumpers look so much like a basic lancer es. IMO the evo 7 is the "dinosaur" ct9a. pre-evolved lol

Anyone who knows about Mitsubishi Evolutions and that they're not Lancers is not going to mistake one but the majority of the population does not know what an intercooler is. Even a lot of people into automobiles heavily do not realize that the evolution is a completely different car than a lancer even though they sometimes look the same. At night or driving by a Mitsubishi 8 or 9 looks so much like the firebird of that year and to some people like my girlfriend the firebird or Sunfire looks more sporty because it has hips unlike the very flat Lancer/Evolution.
Remember since the Evolution 7 the car had to appeal to the basic soccer and grandma because it shared the same platform as the Lancer and a ton more Lancers would be sold than Evolutions and they would make wayyy more money on the fwd Lancer.
It is a HUGE plus that my Evo 7 GTA does not have the vented hood, recaro seats or Momo steering wheel that looks like it doesn't have an air bag. Show cars, Subarus, muscle cars, super cars and modified off road vehicles that attract even a little attention to themselves with some stickers or a winch are pulled over here more than most cars. What is funny though is not long ago there was a statistics report showing that 2000's Pontiac Sunfires and the Firebirds were pulled over for speeding more than any other car. I can't remember if that was for Canada or North America. Even my stock exhaust is getting people riled up which ticks me off because the guy driving the 1980's ugly brown 7.2L truck with no muffler gets away with racing around as do the people speeding in lifted trucks.
People in big trucks have to be the most impulsive drivers out there. That and cheap older hyaundai and kias that got ran over when they pissed off their counterparts driving the big trucks lol.
I don't get why so many people in The United States of America speed when they have easy inexpensive access to sooo many race tracks. You can even buy a huge house with its own personal 8 mile race track in Texas for $550,000!!
Here you cannot even buy a tear down house for $600,000 on land to small to have a yard and a half hour away from where nearly everyone works. An hour and a half to two hours if you include traffic lol.
Driving by in opposite lanes it would be hard to make out the difference if you didn't know about Mitsubishi Evolutions. Even if you did at night and if both had non vented hoods then you would be looking for a logo.
