You won't hear my intake nor BOV, because they shouldn't be making noise. YOu will hear my exhaust, because that's the only thing that should emanate noise. It's about making power, man, not making noise. I'd prefer if my exhaust wasn't loud, too, but that's unavoidable with a straight 3" with no resonators or baffles.

One preference is respectable - the other is called RICE.

Not sure about "Dribble," but if you had an Evo, you wouldn't have the name HKS SSQ and wouldn't be talking about how great it is all the time. You also wouldn't be making the comment that you're just as fast as I am while venting to atmosphere, which you call "sounding good" unless you had upgraded to a MAP system, which is far beyond my biggest mod - an exhaust.

My name would still be SSQ .. dahhh ... and it is a Wonderful BOV .. dahhh, its just unfortunate you guys have probs with it .. Now whos fault is that ... certainly not HKS ...
wow...i cant believe that was an conversation.
warrtalon..no offense bud, i have been reading and searching evom for a while now, only been a member for a short time. i have seen u drone on and on about dragging. thats cool; u know what ur doing in the 1320', but ur still in the 12's. 2 points here; ur good, faster than me, but if im going to get advice it'll be from Dave Buschur, i actually know him and i have seen the results of his cars. 2nd point, our cars arent made and inspired by the 1320' they just happen to preform well there. im not saying ive never dragged but i dont make it my lifes mission to tell everyone else how great i am and show off what i know. i dont rally, i dont autox, i just drive and enjoy my car...

Not everyone has David's budget! If Warrtalon had more money I'm sure he would be way faster than 12s. It's all about how well you drive what you have! Half the people on this site couldn't cut a 12 in the Buschur Racing car!

yea and i take it u have read the site and talked wit Dave to know he started where we all are? Im not saying warrtalon is bad or slow or some sh*t im saying hes not the best source, he aint half bad, but look at the track time the Buschur family has compared to him. especially since that company deals almost exclusively with Evos n DSMs.

I have been following Dave's lead for over 7 years, ever since I put my first mod on my first DSM. He and Sean Glazar are the undisputed Kings of the 4g63 in my opinion, and they are both people I have used as resources. Now that they are so deep into business and racing their own cars, they don't have time to help individuals all around the country and world on a personal basis. Therefore, it makes more sense for people to contact me for help on drag racing than Dave. If someone wants advice on which stroker kit will provide the most power, then they need to go to Dave.
As for the 1320 infatuation, I drag race far less than I auto-x and road race. I agree that the Evo is not a drag racing machine, but it is something that a lot of people do, and it is something that is a great measuring device for where your mods have taken you. Think about it, if you add $1000 worth of power mods, then go autocross, you have no idea if it helped or not. You have no idea if your mods did anything. You could go to a dyno, but that's the least useful information, because that says nothing about how well that power gets used. Anyway, enough rambling. If the ground clears up and there's no rain tomorrow, that will be the day I hit 11s after $925 spent on power mods ($1500 value).
