Kids and Evo's

so glad to see most of u ppl in US/UK being in the age of 16-25 getting enough money to own a evo..
evo in uk cost abt 30k pounds (correct mi if im wrong), and i was wondering how much money u guys in the UK can earn per mth from working part time , apart from ur studies can earn? and hows is the maintenance (money needed for ur evo as per mth) ?
in SG here... its quite impossible... as a most part time jobs would at most earn abt 800SGD and a evo here costs a whopping 150k SGD
Hope to hear replies soon from u guys over the other side of the earth. Cheers

i just graduated with high distinction from worcester polytechnic institute with a degree in computer science and am working at a fortune 100 company in a leadership development program. oh yea, and i live at home, so i save $500-800 a month on rent, which helps

i'm 22 and just bought the evo 2 months ago. I bought my first car when i was 15 working at a fast food joint after, school. Now i own a '02 cavalier and my '05 evo (just got rid of my truck for the evo). I have paid for all my vehichals and have worked since i was 14. Now i work 55+ hours a week for a wire edm company and make 2 car payments, rent to my parents (cheaper than on your own), help pay for my bro to go to college.
nothing wrong with people buin u stuff but it allways feels better to work real hard for sumtin u really like i work 50 hours a week just outa highschool just for a lancer oz wish i had a evo but i guess the lancers a step up from my 89 ford escort
I give a lot of respect for younger adults working, going to school and paying for what they want. what erks me are these other younger adults having expensive cars and haveing mommy and daddy pay for them and showing that there s h i t don't stink. Its too bad they don't understand the meaning of working for a living. but who know when they get older they may get what they deserve. just my 2cents
i don't understand all the fuss about 17-22yr olds driving the evo. okay 1st of all MOST of these kids have gotten the evo or another car from their paretns because they did good in school, helped their parents and were generally good kids. i don't understand why everyone wants a 17yr 2 get a job if he's gonna be working for hte next 50-60yrs after he graduates from college?> If the parents are wealthy enough, and they're WILLING to buy their kid an evo wouldn't you get it? It's awesome everyones working to buy their evo and whatnot and taking care of their parents and stuff and I respect that, but the kids who get their cars from their parents because they can afford them + the parents want them only going to school and studying their *** off to become the next president or ceo or a company instead of using half the day working and making 10-15$ an hour, they'd rather have them spend that time studyin their asses off and get 4.0gps. MOST kids who work get decent to bad grades, but I admit there are those who have a SERIOUS DRIVE and they balance work and school which is awesome. respect to all u young adults. let me end this by saying don't hate. some people have more privilages than others, but that doesn't mean they're better. it's just a freaking car. a CAR. whocares how it ended up in the kids possession (minus stealing) it's all cool. i'm getting annoyed at the ppl who diss kids for driving these cars...are you guys jealous? seriously think about before, and all jealousy goes away. feel happy for the kid. he's gonna work just like u, but maybe when he's 21-22, not 15-16.
oh and also if the parents buy their kids an evo i'm guessin they'd have to work really hard to impress their folks, so grades go up, drugs go out, drinking stops (gotta be responsible), and in general they'er happy. hap[py kids = doing good in school and parants know that. plus the parents prolly have more than enuff money and they need to get rid of it (GIVE ME SOME)...hook me up seriously! and so they buy their kids an evo. it's tight. gotta respect the folks for taking care of the kids.
