Alot of 03's problems ?

Hello...I was a proud owner of a 2003 EVO VIII then i had to get rid of it ..long story but iam back in the market for an EVO...Personally my 03 had no problems with it..but i keep reading all this problems with clutches transfer cases..and the 16g scroll has blown and etc... I was wondering if this the case with most 03's and if they have fixed any of the problems with the 04 and up models...Thanks alot.

There are no problems with the turbos. A FEW 2005's need the coolant hose on the turbo replaced due to a recall, that is all. 2003's have syncro recalls.

I've had no problems with my 03. As far as the clutch and transfer case. I think a lot of that is how you drive the car.

i got my transfer case replaced at 7000 miles when it blew right after i got off the highway. had it towed back to the dealer (roadside assistance works), and had it replaced but took like 5 days since they needed to order it... but i got a courtsey car from them (all free under warranty). but it just sucked while i was waiting for my tow truck... people were looking at me like... hey... its an evo! but its not running... i saw so many transfer case issue around the forum... i wonder why wouldnt mitsu just do a recall...

have a 03 had clutch replace after 30000 miles. Other than that no problems. My wife drives the car more than me now that i have a work truck(Hyundais outrun her.) But other than that I have over 40 k and no problems and nothing to complain about...
