i have used the search key and found witch line to splice into for the vacuum. but i can't find/ figure out witch wires to got to for the light. i've got a auto meter gauge.

Try the clock illumation/dimmer wire

 

I ran the wires directly to the dimmer switch behind the panel by your left knee. Just use a volt meter and probe the back of the connector to see which wire changes voltage when you move the knob from brighter to dimmer. Connect wire here. Just run the ground to any old bolt that looks like it connects to the body.
