A joint income of 40k is enough to drive decent cars and buy a duplex? Where do you live.... North Dakota???

You're 21 and the gf is 20 with a daughter, and you drive a cadillac. Must be nice to have your parents buy you a cadillac. I can't believe that you guys are even entertaining the thought of buying a 32K CAR which, if my math serves me right, is a little more than 3/4's of your yearly income!

41 yrs. old, married w/ no kids, and no plans to have any. Chemical Engineer by trade, wife is a Corporate Litigation Attorney. We make ends meet......

It's funny, I still have to get "permission" to spend (waste in some people's eyes) money on my EVO. But isn't that what being in a relationship is all about?

"Shutup bi&ch! I'll spend my money on whateva I want!" Now there's a healthy way to conduct a life long relationship.......

22 yrs old, single, clear 24K/year after taxes, made 12.5K in college from scholarships that i put down on the evo, financed 22K on the evo @ 373/month for 72 months, insurance = 250/month (for the evo and sebring), rent = 270+1/3 utilities/month (about 350 all told, free cable/internet)

other than gas/food/alcohol I dont buy much, an occasional dvd and some clothes every now and again. Teachers don't make much but enough to swing an evo!
