with teh 05's and newer.. you have auto launch with teh 2 step. All you do is hold the gas and let it bounce off the 5k rev limiter.. it will build like 10 lbs of boost on the line. slip the clutch a bit and let her rip. you will get easy 1.7 60 foots and with practice easy 1.6's.

 

No, you don't have to. You can just disconnect it. Also, very few people are able to launch successfully off of that. 1.7s are very difficult to achieve, and I've only ever heard of one launch in the 1.6s off the limiter, and that was a 1.69. It is by NO MEANS easy. I personally have never gotten it to work, but I know it's possible...just not easy.
