Newbie to the max...

Well Tuesday I am picking up a WW Evo from L.A. I am extremely excited, because this has been my dream car for a long time. I am not new to moddifing cars or pbeing around them, because my brother and father have been doing this for a while (my dad is in the business, and my brother had a fully built 2001 ITR and now he has a B16 Turbo EK Hatch) and I've had a 2003 RSX-S that I just sold.

I guess the thing I'm worried about is that I know nothing at all about the Evo (how exactly the 4G63 works and everything). I guess I made a right choice about picking the car up, but I'm a little under prepared. Is there any advice that I need to know before tuesday, or is everything in the whole "learn as you go thing"?

thanx so much, and i hope my will be as nice as your's some day. ^_^

learning as you go on an evo without the proper people to help you can be very dangerous on your car. You can be doing something very wrong that you might think is right without knowing. How the 4g63 works? its a regular turbocharged engine, nothing special not a rotary or anythihng, just a I-4 turbocharged engine transversely mounted. I previously had a full bolt on evo with a pretty good amount of power to make ur head hit the seat once you floor it. its a very nice car but is a b*tch to maintain esp if you dont know much about it. I studied the evo for about a year or so prior to buying it. But there were some "learn as you go" with the help of these forums and a few local buddies. Just make sure you do ur research

best advice for ya, you do not need a bov until you go over 24 psi, and any mod you do get it tuned... exhaust or intake, get it tuned..
