Warrtalon,
I had Al do a custom tune, my only mod was a K&N drop in. I just purchased a Buscher(SP) TB exhaust w/ cat delete(off road usage only!) and will be installing it tomorrow. Do you recommend it being re-flashed after the exhaust? What about installing a fuel pump, as I noticed you did on your set up. I'm installing an MBC next week.

Well, if you were just doing the exhaust, I would say not to bother paying for another reflash so soon. If you are going to do TBE, MBC, and are willing to add a fuel pump, then I'd recommend another flash after all that, at which point you'll have everything I have.

What would be the advantage of the fuel pump? Your car seems pretty fast, so that would be pretty cool to get that much of a performance boost. I run 93 pump gas. 110 racing gas is hard to come by and very costly, but would be worth trying just to feel the pereformance difference.

The fuel pump is not necessarily a performance mod, but rather a performance enabler/safety item. It is only $80, is easy to install yourself, and allows you the peace of mind that pretty much any boost you run on the stock turbo won't be enough to cause fuel starvation from the stock pump. Al likes people to have fuel pumps when they get a flash on a system running over 20psi, because it allows him to tweak the fuel/timing maps a bit more and provides added safety. You can run on 93oct all day and be fine while making great power on a flash. Remember that I still ran a 12.26 on 93oct with a base flash. To even use race gas, you would need to turn up your boost (definitely need the fuel pump) and retune for it (I use an S-AFC), so you shouldn't even worry about 110oct.

Thanks for the reply, it was very helpful! I'll definately take your advice and install a fuel pump and an MBC. Any particuler MBC and fuel pump that you recommend? I want to be able to remove the MBC easily should I need to.

There's really only one fuel pump that we use, and that's the Walbro 255lph.

As for MBC's, my suggestions are the Forge UNOS or Hallman Pro. They're all going to take about the same time to install/uninstall, but it will take you 30-40 minutes each time after you get good at it.

Do NOT get an intake, get a WORKS or K&N drop in, TB exhaust, and a flash. WORKS P2 flash is 599.00, but you can send it in over an over when your modifications increase for free.

Can someone explain to me why it is so bad to get an intake without doing anything else to the car please?

Thanks...

We've helped you a lot, now help yourself. This is the most debated topic on all of EvoM, so a little searching would explain to you more than I could ever explain myself. Here are a few key factors:

- cost versus power gain
- turbulent MAF readings when untuned
