Hello! New owner here. EVO IX SSL (Electric Blue). Believe it or not, I just came from a Brand Spanking New IS350 with bells and whistles. Then this EEyan guy, you know who you are, let me drove his Evo IX and the rest was history.

Thank you! The Evo is a totally different beast than the IS350. That car is still luxury than grunt. It is hard to mix those two up without sacrificing either. With the Evo it is all ROAR! BTW. Speaking of roar. I almost got squeeze by a cargo truck, as he suddenly veers on my right side, I guess my xenons were not bright enough for him... thank God for the island on the freeway, I was able to react towards my left and save my dear life and baby blue evo.

 

yea bad drivers everywhere....esp in socal mate. just gots to watch out, most ppl are on the cell phone 9 billion hours per day and they dont bother to look over when switching lanes or exiting plazas onto main streets or _________. it's tunnel vision for them.

anyhoo, congrats on the Evo! I was still deciding btw z33 and s2k and STi and Evo and one drive in the Evo i was sold too. and i didn't even drive the almighty Evo IX =P can't wait till i get mine...

I AM SO JEALOUS!! Congrats, Forget the IS350, its all about power and handling. You will have much more fun with this car, just take it easy or else you will have problems with the police.

AWD plays a huge determinating factor when other cars are on your list when car shopping.

I when I bought my 03 Evo. had test drove the G35, SVT Cobra, 350Z, RX8, IS300, Corvette.

Never driven the STi and think I will before I buy the 06 Evo. IX MR to just say I drove it.

Everything was great with the IS350, But the Evo surpass it. I got bored with that damn car as soon as I learned all the gadgetry. I admit it was a mistake to have bought the IS350 in the first place but like someone said I could not drive a car for 3 years that I no longer appreciate. I lost about 7k on it. Was not to painful because the down came from a trade in plus I got the Evo SSL for 32K. Most IS350 oners on the forum understood me and that even means more that I made the right decision. It is so fun driving this damn thing. I'll ost interior pics with my new garmin nav later.

Nice thread Izzy Gotta admit, your IS350 is so cool... but now you know your Evo attracts more attention. Just stay away from my white one or I'll put a scratch on yours... !

To all... I am Izzy's idol... not his brother or anything, just someone he wants to be... much like we all wanted to be like Mike when we were young... I don't know why, I'm not even good looking... The only difference is... Izzy most likely will never go to Japan (sorry, inside joke!)...
