Man on a mission...

Hello...i'm new on this site but i'm not officially an evo owner yet unfortunately. I'm on a mission to pickup a used 03-04 model but it seems to be a pain in the **** around here. I've been finding prices from 23,000-26,000 for evo 8's with around anywhere from 25k-43k. Not sure if those are decent prices but hopefully i'll find one soon thats not beaten to death. Just wanted to say whats up to everyone on here since i've left the turbo honda scene in search of an evo in Mass.

Welcome to the dark side. If you do buy a used evo 03-04 evo, be veeeeery careful because those years had some technical problems such as with the clutch. I'd do a thorough inspection before you jump on a deal, and remember if the price seems too good to be true, then there probably is a reason for it.

Good luck!

03 and 04 evos were just fine. This has been discussed many times. Any clutch in any car will be worn out by people who abuse them or do not know how to drive. Do a search and you will find many people who have high miles on their cars with the original clutch. My clutch in my 03 was still fine at 40 k miles. I changed it only as a precaution but it still held the power quite well.
