Drive one and it will change your mind. The My Evo 8 MR is indeed the best car I ever had.

Ask your friend if he can let you drive his. Your Acura Integra got you tripping because probably smokes the tires very well and pulls decently well from a roll.

Besides that, the Acura is just a Toy for any Evo 8-9 with a couple of mods.
The braking, the handling, the seat and the capacity of the Evo 8 -9 engine to make ridiculous power is absolutely no match.

Again, try your friend Evo-8. I am just assuming that you are happy with your integra because of the hard pull from a roll and the engine reving capabilities along with a nice burn out, try the Evo and you will find out that you are in a different league.

FWD are no cool any more. This is my 7th AWD car in a row and my 11th turbo car, combine AWD and turbo and you are invencible.

AWD cars owned:

Dodge Stealth R/T TT
Porsche 911 Carrera 4
WRX
2 Eclipses GSX
Evo9
Evo8 MR

Turbo cars owned:

Laser turbo
2 Eclipses GSX
Stealth TT
WRX
Evo8
Evo9
Renault 5 Turbo
Renault 5 turbo(again)
Renault 21 Turbo
Dodge colt turbo

So, yess, I know a little bit.. you need to try a Evo 8 , then we talk about Turbo cars

I understand you might not like the Evo but I want to bet you haven't tried it yet, the EVO with the AWD system and the great 4G63 and now the Mivec system is indeed one of the best platform you can find IN THE WORLD.

The acura's tiny brakes and tiny rims are no match for the far superior capabilities of the Evo.

It is hard to believe you say you don't like the Evo, I can only understand you might not like the looks but do you know what are you talking about?

The Evo8 pulled 2 full seconds on Willows Springs on a 2002 Vette Z06, it outran the Vette also in Slalom, it brakes better from 60-0MPH than a freaking Ferrari Enzo and with a couple of grand you can almost compite with just about any supersport car, now what does the Acura offers that the Evo does not?

You see what I mean?

i drive a 2000 gsr right now. i drove my friend's 2005 evo viii for about 3 good hours....

the Evo is in a different league. it is the kind of car that you have to drive to know what the 'hype' is all about.

drive your friend's Evo, you will not be disappointed

tegs are cool, but i consider the Evo a complete upgrade. practicality, performance, versatility.....i will own one myself in 2-3 months time.

you may not dig the look of the Evo due to its boxiness, as opposed to our teg's sleek appearance. but the Evo's boxy because it's one of the most roomy sports cars out there. personally, i'm willing to sacrifice a bit of outward appearance for comfort and practicality, even though i think mitsu did a great job making a box car look so damn aggressive and pissed off

i'm just spitting out stuff now, everything aformentioned are imho.

but drive the Evo, test its handling a bit. it is the most precise stock car i've ever driven yet.

cars i've driven: s2k (ap1, ap2), usdm itr, 350z mt&at, e46 m3 mt&smg, previous gen STi, rx8 mt, '96 miata mt, rsx-s...others are modded and the rest are irrelevant to my point. but you see my point

You couldn't put any better. I traded in my 03 WRX with more than $10000 on mods, it was a very dissapointing car. The Evo is simply in another league, this car(Evo) really shines on every single aspect except dash quality,MPG, cruise control, pathetic stereo but at the end of the day you get a supersport car in 4 doors.

I reaitarate that he MUST drive preferably a 05 Evo 8 or newer and see the difference. When I see FWD with Turbos I see myself in a era that I no longer belong.

FusionChiken, good luck with the Evo purchase.

I also used to be a honda guy, but listen to everyone here, an EVO will KILL any Teg in any performance catagory.

The Hondas Ive had:
95 Civic EX w/ GSR swap
95 Civic EX
96 Civic EX w/ GSR swap & J/R S/C
95 4dr GSR w/ I,H,E
94 2dr Teg LS w/ semi-built LS-Vtec

FF ( front engine, front wheel drive) really is the worst platform. I was so glad I sold my Teg and got into AWD turbo (first I had a WRX then the EVO, now my g/f has a 06 WRX, so I have a EVO and WRX), it so much better, take it from someone that used to be into Honda alot, I even worked at the local Honda performance shop.

Well Said, before my evo, i was into hondas too, but when it came down to power and FWD it never got along. And you had to either turbo it, or really build the heck outta it, cuz basic mods just made it louder....maybe 10whp if you were lucky. But like everyone said there just isnt a comparsion

How about from September 1972 to August 1995 and how about from April 2000 to September 2002 and how about another extra 10-15 trips for a few weeks to different countries in Europe?

How about I got my A, A-1 , A-2 and B2 licenses there(In Europe) as well?

Don't assume everyone here is young and American, the signature is just a choice.

It gets better, the list is just the Turbo cars and AWD I had, the list of cars I had Non -turbo probably tripples that. If it has wheels I know how to ride it

A little history on those Renault cars that I can NEVER forget:

The Renault 5 Turbos were the WORLD's champion rally cars in the Gruppe-N, on the other hand the Renault 21 Turbo was the World's Championchip for gran turismo first year they came out.

My Renault 5 were actually called : Renault Super 5 GT II turbo Copa "Cup", despite it was fuel carburated it weighted 1900lbs and it had 4wheel disc brakes, huge turbo and twin intercooler. 1990 was the last year of production, then they launched the Renault Clio 16V.

Never confuse the Renault 5 turbo with the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, the Renault Maxi turbo was a rear mounted engine, rear wheel drive 1.6 liter with a super wide/flare engine.

On the Renault 21 Turbo, they made a FWD and a AWD called quadra. It had a 2.0 liter with forged internals from the factory and it had also twin intercoolers with single turbo. Very nice car as well.

Here is a link to remember:

http://freespace.virgin.net/c.coleman/History.htm

and definately don't miss this one on the Renault 21 Turbo AKA R21:

http://membres.lycos.fr/remy02/

Remember, we haven't invent the fire with the Evos, Renault crushed all the Formula one cars back in 1978 for 3 years in a row with their Formula one turbo car to be later banned out of Formula one racing for being excessively fast and eventually fatal due to excessive speeds.
