$200 is way too much, there are turbo timers now from $90 and less. You mightr have to buy the additional harness though.

I used the Blitzz fat DCIII in th epast and I like it, I also used the Apexi pencil shape wich is very tiny.

By the way, the Blitz Fat DCIII can also be mounted virtually anywhere because it has a remote operated display.

Both the Blitz and the Apexi also gives you additional feautures such as: Voltmeter,AFR,and temp.

Look around, you don't need to spend $200.

a Turbo timer overrated? on what? on price? they have a lot to offer, they are no longer turbo timers anymore, they provide us with a lot of other information, also remember that it can be reinstall into another turbo car anytime, just buy the harness, last but not least, it can be re sell and get some money back.

Definately it is a good investement.

I went with the Greddy turbo timer, and it's great. Main reason was because i wanted it to match my Greddy boost controller But here is a good website that i get most of my parts from. My greddy turbo timer was around 95 bucks.

What a harsh stereotype, but I agree he falls into the stereotype. Before you waste anyone elses time starting useless threads. I suggest you utilize the search function.

Maybe you could call some of the reputable sponsors on here, and get some advice, at least that's what I would do.

im a total noob on turbo cars... but isn´t it nessicery to have a turbo timer for the turbo it self. i mean, after you turn of your car the turbo doesn´t stop immediatly. but if the car has been turned off it can´t be giving the turbo the oil it needs. or what??? i heard it was very bad not to have a turbo timer or at least keep the car running a wile before turned off.

You heard wrong. It's not necessary on a water-cooled turbo like ours.

I have an HKS type 1 and its great. It says in the manual to let the car idle for at least 1 min before shutting it off.

How long do you set the timer for? what is a safe amount of time to let the turbo cool down before shutting the engine down under normal driving conditons. I ususally let my car idle for 1-3 minutes depending how hard I drove it, but I can;t always do that. I just want the very best for the engine for longevity.
