evo 9 holds value like supra after 5years or so?
Bought 03 blue EVO for $30k plus taxes, title, and fees. sunroof and rear wing.
Sold 03 blue EVO two years later for $21,5k with broken windshield, front and rear bumpers needed to be repainted, needed front tires, had boost guage, and aftermarket battery, 5th gear would grind sometimes, and had 25k miles.
Dealership resold the vehicle for $29k!!!!! Crazy somebody bought for that much two years later!

But the EVO X will keep the EVO IX from being a collectors item. Same with the EVO VIII.
The Supra cult isn't necessary. They are a dime a dozen in Japan and tuners there have moved on to better cars (god those guys are lucky.)
Also they still made them until 2002 overseas and the cost to import one at this point is cheaper than to buy one, and they're almost new...
You can get an Evo overseas, and there are quite a few over here and they still hold their value.
Good car in my book.

Did Mitsubishi actually announce the Evo X as the U.S. model for 2007? I thought that was just speculation at this point. If they have not announced it, I would say that the IX will be the 2007 U.S. model (with the X possibly released for the Japanese market only for 2007). And while the U.S. Evos may not hold their value like a Supra, they are definitely better than average.
BTW, did anyone hear about that survey involving the top five most wanted cars for US males ages 18-35? I believe the Evo was number 4...

my feelings exact. i think the movie will ruin it for us EVO owners. they will become the "new civic" for the import crowd. the police will see the portrayal of these cars in the movie and racially profile us driving them...
