Nope!

Shoot, the mr2 turbo's are still pretty expensive for a car that's over 10 years old.

Supras hold thei value very well, but think about this My car has 56k on the clock and is in less than brag-about condition.....

I could trade my car for 18,500 easily. If it was a less than 10k car with mint paint and no mods, 22 easy.

An Evo 9 MR coming in at 36 will hold its value ten times better. WHy? Elite model, alll the bells and whistles. When the 10 comes out, it'll be the LAST of the CT9A chassis....all hese put together yield a vehicle thats in high demand, rare and if in mint condition, I dont see how a 10k mile example would fetch less than 32-33

Dude its a DSM and they may not even make it another couple years.
The EVO is the car keeping Mitsubishi in biz.The corporation is under Chapter 11.
As Nissan was also and the Z saved them.
The EVO will never hold the value like the supra.

the Z didnt save nissan, that was WAY before the Z came out. The new altima, maxima, pathfinder....etc brought them back from the dead.

Incidentally, Mitsu has been in trouble for a while, however, they are backed by Mistu heavy industries....so unless it goes to hell in a hand basket....no worries. They are going to keep producing their cars and updating them as much as anyone else will be. Thankfully the Evo made a big splash in the US and Mitsu is on the map

I highly doubt it, especially if the MIVEC turns out to be a hindrance instead of a boon when going with big power. If the MIVEC turns out to be the best thing since sliced bread and allows the IX to destroy all previous Evo records, then maybe. With the X coming out, I think the IX (and VIIIs) will become an afterthought.

The Evo is not a DSM.

Mitsubishi is not under chapter 11. If so, prove it.

No, the Altima an Xterra did for the most part.

The EVO will never hold the value like the supra.
Probably not. Unless they suddenly stopped selling them today and this country's supply was suddenly reduced to 5000 or less total cars (MKIV TTs).

Exclamation

The supra doesn't hold resale value based soley on name alone, it has help from the company behind it "toyota". Having that flagship company helps ALOT, but no, the evo won't hold resale value like the supra and u'll be hard press to find out in 2011.

Probably only a 2005, because even a low milege 2003 or *2004 wouldn't sale for that much.

Nope, actually Renault save them. The company merged with Renault in 1999, and a Renault v-p, Carlos Ghosn, was named Nissan's new CEO.

Who said Mitsubishi would stop making the IX after this year?

Also the EVO is holding it's value very very good. I'm just praying for the 2003 to finally muthaf*ckin' drop under $20,000. I mean I really hope by June, I can pick a 2003 up for $19,999, but I'm not sure if that gonna happend.

Can you believe the blue book for the 2003 EVO is still around $24,000.

I mean I do a search (autotrader) of all the 350zs and RX-8s selling for under $20,000 in a 300 mile radius of where I live (Southern California) and I find 25 different examples to choose from.
