sorry for all the noob questions,
What do you consider "fast"? I'm only asking because the word "fast" can mean a certain time on the 1320, top speed, 0-60 acceleration times.... for example, to me, fast means being on one wheel (motorcycle) @ 136mph with a passenger, or beating 600cc bikes on the highway (2 cars ago).... An EVO may be "fast" to some stock wise, to me, fast is not a few bolt ons either. Sorry for the long reply.....

What is fast to you? What is your background on cars? Also as far as fast Supras, you may want to research what it takes for that, and how hard it is to maintain traction once you get that kind of power.

I believe someone had mentioned to look into the SRT-4 as well.... Even though most won't admit it, most EVO / STI / G35 / 350z and many other cars/drivers pull up next to an SRT-4, we wonder if it is one of those high hp'd cars we have seen and/or heard about... Then again, the SRT-4 drivers may think the same way. I know for mid 20's you can have your fair share of STI's/EVO's to choose from in excellent condition.

Hell, you could buy an excellent 03/04 svt cobra and spend $900 and get almost 500 hp at the wheels with 3 little parts.

I personally owned an SRT-4 ACR Edition. It was an 05' in black. The car HAULS ***, don't get me wrong, I had Stage 1, and just that alone gives you a good boost in power over the stock format and it's cheap. Dodge underrates the vehicle for insurance issues. Mine dynoed 242 whp and 262 wtq. It can't take an Evo from a dig, but it'll give a stock Evo a run for its money from a 20mph roll; with mods of course. The FWD just causes it to hesitate in locking-up. Now, as for build quality, it SUCKS ***. At 3,000 miles I was hearing wind noises from the inner door insulation, which was improperly glued during assembly. The spark plug cover, which is plastic, had its letters burnt off. The bottom of the car has a piece of plastic that is mounted behind the power-steering cooler. It guides air to the power steering cooler. That fell off of my car. This seemed to be a common occurance with the SRT-4 since the rivets were too small and the flap would slip through it under hard acceleration. So basically, I recommend getting a WRX, if it were between the two. You get AWD, you might be a few tenths of a second slower in a straightline, but you can handle better. And a few mods will change that. The 2006 models also have a 2.5 L from the WRX STi, but it's detuned. Instead of the 2.0, like in previous models. Good luck.

I was considering getting the WRX but the car just doens't get to me, and I'm positive if I get the WRX im just going to regreat it, and don't get me wrong the WRX is a very good car but I just like the EVO to much.
So I have to keep my eyes open for a good 03-05 Evo model with Low Miles.

THks for all the help, and trully this is the most helpful forum i've been on.
