WRX owner looking to get an EVO

Hi everyone, i currently drive an 03 WRX with a turboback and ecu. Im looking to get an EVO sometime in the spring or summer but cant decide wether i should go with the MR or the regular EVO. I know the differences as far as the obvious ones that are listed in the brochure, but are there any other differences? Is there any advanatage to having the 6 spd tranny, besides always being in the powerband, like is it stronger than the 5 spd. Any other comments on either of these cars is welcome. By the way i love the graphite grey color, and its the color i will be getting.

Hey, I used to have a 2005 STi but i traded it in for a 06 Evo IX GSR. Im happy with my decision so far, this car takes to mods alot easier

I used to have a stage 2 2002 WRX and you will be very surprised with the EVO's power. I have an 06' IX MR in Graphite Gray and I say if you can afford it get the MR. You really can't go wrong with the regular IX's either.

Go with the IX, you don't really need the MR and the price difference isn't tiny.

If you comfortably afford the MR then get it, but if money is or can become a factor then just get the GSR, it is also an awesome car. But the most important thing is to step out of your WRX into a real car, the EVO. Man I am loving this IX more and more everyday.

The minute you start modding the evo is going to become very loud and less streetable, for those reasons If I were to buy a second evo now It would have to be a IX RS.. get it, pay it off and drive it hard on the weekend. Daily driving modded evo can be a PITA (alot of fun to.. SRT8 got beat down on the way to work this morning)

I disagree, the 6 speed does not make it slower
