VIII & IX Owners:
Hey for those of you who own an VIII or a IX, when the X comes out, would you feel as if your car is outdated? That it's like "forget the predecessor, the X is hot righ tnow" Or would the IX become legendary and sought after, as the last Evo to have the 4G63?

would i feel "outdated"? .....no i wouldnt because i still ENVY the Evo 6 which is SEXY!!!!......but i guess with the newcoming X somewhere around the corner, its somewhat keeping up with todays "car market industry and expectations"...at the same time, it would change some peoples' view of the liking of the new X when it becomes available versus what we have now.....i dunno...not feeling the new X imo

From past experience, the previous Evos had the 4g63 engine reworked, the X looks like it will have a complete different engine so that takes some time to start making upgrades and tunning.
I would say nothing will be set stone until at least 3 more years so no worries for me for now

Actually, if I could i would buy an evo 6, I would do it in a blink of an eye....I won't feel outdated, I'll just put more mods in to my evo and keep my car up to date with performance

i like the looks of all of the evos except the X. I wont feel outdated or ashamed to pull up next to one when they are out. the look of the evo now is how it should stay. the X just doesnt do it for me..
our cars are part of a lineage.. i'm proud i own a part of it; i don't feel like it can get outdated in the normal sense.
though i do have an 03 viii... i wish i had the acd, hotside, revised tranny... but eh, whatever.

THe X is still in concept mode, so we dont know what it will look like. But from what i read the 10 is moving into the general car market, and will have all those nice electronics the cnet guy was talking about. Can you say navigational system optional, i know i cant say it in the same sentence with evo.
